CGFOA Annual Conference
The CGFOA 2022 Annual Conference will be held at the Grand Junction Convention Center in Grand Junction from November 15-18, 2022. Join your peers for education, networking, and fun! There are a variety tracks to choose from, knowledgeable instructors and a lot to see and learn in the vendor exhibit hall.

Keynote Speaker
We are excited to announce our Keynote Speaker, Jinahie, and her talk, "Conquering the Inner Critic".
Jinahie (“my wings” in Arabic) is an Egyptian-American performance artist and psychotherapist. She has shared the stage with multiple Grammy-award winning artists, and has been a keynote speaker for over 300 universities, the United Nations, Fortune 500 companies, and Michelle Obama. Now in the 9th year of her national tour, Jinahie travels the country as a performer, public speaker, and workshop facilitator. With her unique background as both an artist and therapist, she has captivated countless audiences with a combination of masterful storytelling and therapeutic expertise. Prepare to laugh, be charmed, and likely shed a few tears — Jinahie is a storyteller for the soul.
Conference Registration Grants
In order to better serve our members and make education opportunities accessible, the CGFOA Scholarship Committee provides Conference Grants of up to 5 full and 10 partial conference registration slots for CGFOA members. Applications are now open.
Conference grants are limited to current members of CGFOA. Awardees are selected by the Scholarship Committee.
The Fine Print
Registration is for an individual and cannot be shared with different people attending different days. A 75% refund is offered to any cancellations made by October 31, 2022. No refunds will be processed after November 1, 2022.

Join us for an OSHA 10-Hour training and receive your OSHA 10-Hour card for either construction or general industry.
OSHA 10-Hour for Construction (English):
This two-day course helps employers identify construction-related workplace hazards, covering various topics specific to the construction industry. Register to understand and apply OSHA Standard 1926 and how to identify and minimize construction-related workplace hazards. Participants will receive their OSHA 10-Hour card after attending this class.

Excavation safety
Hand and power tools
Falls from elevations
Personal Protective Equipment
Stairs, ladders and scaffolds

OSHA 10-Hour for General Industry (English):

Participants will receive their OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Card after attending this class.

This two-day course helps employers identify construction-related workplace hazards, covering various topics specific to the construction industry. Register to understand and apply OSHA Standard 1926 and how to identify and minimize construction-related workplace hazards. Participants will receive their OSHA 10-Hour card after attending this class. Topics include:

Cost is $120 per policyholder, $200 per non-policyholder
Day 1 is from 8 a.m. - 5 a.m.
Day 2 is from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be served on day 1 and only breakfast will be served on day 2.
You must also attend the training in its entirety in order to receive your OSHA 10-Hour card.
Cancellation policy:
All fees are due and must be paid upon registration.
If you notify the event planner of your cancellation, you’ll receive a refund for 50% of your registration and materials fee.
If you don’t notify the event planner, you forfeit the refund for 50% of your registration and materials fee.
Canceled registrations do not qualify for credit toward future training.

During the September Quarterly Membership Luncheon, hear from candidates in the 2022 Fall Election as they address questions surrounding business priorities that are impacting the Mesa County economy on a daily basis. Mesa County Public Library Comic Con
Mesa County Libraries Comic Con will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, at Grand Junction Convention Center. Admission is free with a Mesa County Libraries Library Card or $5 at the door. Kids 10 and under are free!
Mesa County Libraries Comic Con is a fun, free, family-friendly event that brings together fans and creators, old and young in celebrating the importance of stories and fandoms that connect us and enrich our lives. Comic Con includes an Expo Hall featuring local and regional artists, authors, cosplayers, crafters, and media creators. Panel presentations give attendees an opportunity to deep dive into topics of interest; fandom meetups provide opportunities to discuss favorite characters and meet others with similar passions; and everyone can take part in cosplay, photo ops, and cosplay contests.
